GoliathsDavid; The JW Bible was first published in 1959! I have not heard of the "author" of the Watchtower having relations, so let's not put that out there. I'm pretty up on things, and sometimes things do surface from time to time, but since the Watchtower has many authors, I don't think it's fair to make this type of assertion. My question would be, who is he? Give me a name, otherwise it's basically rumor and not fact.

Let me know! I would be interested in researching that. Otherwise, it's rumor and I don't want to mislead people. I want to stick to facts.

Thx for asking!

Wow. My pastor just got into an "argument" if you want to call it with a JW woman. He mentioned that anyone who adds or takes out of the original bible will pay with what they have done and she made a comment of how the Christian bible had taken out everything in the JW bible. Was the JW bible not written after the christian bible?

Was the creater of the JW and author of Watchtower etc not into trouble for having relations with his foster daughter or into trouble for trying to make money of other books he published using different aliases. How do the JW feel knowing this?

Hi JWSRULE! Actually, I do attend church services and I’m also held accountable, just like every person on the earth. I am accountable to many of my brothers in Christ and my Pastor, but most of all, accountable to the Lord. I don’t recall saying the JW’s were not “peaceful people who do their utmost to live by Bible principals”, so I’m sorry if you were feeling that I did, but I do take exception with the fact that the JW’s “shun those who are living their lives in ways that would be unclean”. It reminds me of when Jesus ate with tax collectors, the prostitutes, etc. Are you saying that Jesus was wrong? He searched those that were lost.

“Satan has blinded our minds”, is the perfect answer for anyone who challenges the JW’s and it comes from the Watchtower not the Bible. The Bible says to “test all things in light of scripture”, but the JW’s test all things in light of the Watchtower. It’s use over and over as a way to “shun” others that are not like minded.

You say “They have every right to their beliefs as long as they don’t break the law of whichever country they’re in”. Really?, that blows my mind! So what comes first, God’s law or man’s law? Jesus covered this in the Gospels! Do you know prostitution, selling children as slaves, killing people of different faiths, and beating your wife into submission is LEGAL in some countries?

You also speak of hypocrisy, so lets talk about it. If you think about it, we’re all hypocrites, even though we go to a church, temple or kingdom hall! We may try our best, but we’re just plain old sinners destined for Hell without a savior and that person is Jesus Christ. Go to the website www.silentlambs.com and read the stories about elders and others within the kingdom halls who have gotten away with rape, but yet the Watchtower publishes and points the finger at the Catholic Church. I’m not Catholic, but my goodness talk about hypocrisy. Watch the videos I have posted about it.

So this is not about the JW’s being a threat to society, it’s about them being a threat to the souls of their members “for ever and ever”. Which leads me to another topic, so please take to time to go through and read everything on the site? Where you spend eternity rest on knowing the truth and once you die, it’s too late. Jesus will remind you of what I told you.

If you have any questions, please feel free to send me an email on my contact page, I’ll help you!

God Bless you!!

Clearly all of you attend church services where your preachers tell you what you want to hear, and do not hold you accountable for your actions. JW's are a peaceful people who do their upmost to live by Bible principals, and shun those who are living their lives in ways that would be unclean. Satan has truly blinded your minds if you think these people are a danger to society. They have every right to their beliefs as long as they don't break the law of whichever country they are in. Why don't some of you investigate the hypocrisy of all the other religions out there..makes these people seem right on target. Get a grip!

Hi Sister Perry, with the information age well engaged, it only takes some very small digging to uncover what has taken place within the Jehovah's Witness organization under the direction of the Watchtower.

The Watchtower uses the term "Blinded by Satan" to cover up the truth in many respects. It has become the number one answer to anyone who questions them.

You brought up Christmas, so let's talk about that. If the Watchtower is "Gods Organization", why would God allow the "organization" to publicize that it's OK knowing that it had some pagan origin?

When you read the Bible for all it's worth, you will find no where where God allowed pagan worship without dealing with it. It just doesn't happen.

The problem with starting a Bible study with a Jehovah's Witness is that once you start questioning them and getting to the root of issues like false prophecy, blood, 144,000 and show them their own documents, they get angry and say you are "blinded by Satan".

Catch 22, I'd say.

I was surfing the web, and looking for news articles when I came across this site. Satan has blinded the minds of the unbelievers so the glorious good news of the Kingdom can't shine through. there is nothing wrong, or any hidden deep secret about the elders or any Jehovahs Witness. They do not think they are perfect, or are not sinners. Everyone born from Adam, and that would be all of human creation, are sinners because they are children of Adam. Jehovahs Witnesses try to live a clean and moral life, and go strictly by the Bibles teaching. They do not go by Church teachings or pagan teaching, such as celebrating Christmas. Christmas was celebrated until the origins were researched, and revealed to have pagan customs which anyone who is dedicated to God should not want anything to do with anything pagan. If you genuinely want to get to know what goes on at the Kingdom Hall, or find out what TRUE witnesses teach, start a Bible study with one.

Is the Jehovah's Witness religion Christian?

The answer to the question is, "No. It is not Christian." Like all non-Christian cults, the Jehovah's Witness organization distorts the essential doctrines of Christianity. It denies the deity of Christ, His physical resurrection, and salvation by grace. This alone makes it non-Christian. To support its erring doctrines, the Watchtower organization (which is the author and teacher of all official Jehovah's Witness theology), has even altered the Bible to make it agree with its changing and non-Christian teachings.

Typical with cults that use the Bible to support its position is a host of interpretive errors:

Taking verses out of their immediate context.
Refusing to read verses in the entire biblical context.
Inserting their theological presuppositions into the text.
Altering the Biblical text to suit their needs.
Latching onto one verse to interpret a host of others.
Changing the meanings of words.
Proclaiming some passages to be figurative when they contradict their doctrines.
Adding to the Word of God.

Additionally, the Jehovah's Witness organization requires of its members regular weekly attendance at their "Bible Study" meetings where they are repeatedly indoctrinated with anti-Christian teachings. This is done by reading the Watchtower magazine, following along with what it says, reading the questions it asks, and reciting the answers it gives. In other words, the Watchtower Organization carefully trains its members to let the Organization do their thinking for them. For confirmation of this, please read Does the Watchtower organization control the JW's thinking?

The Witnesses are told they will be persecuted when they go door to door teaching their doctrines. They are further told that this is simply the enemy fighting against God's organization because they are in "the truth." So, when someone disagrees with them, they are conditioned to reflect on what the Watchtower has told them. They then feel confirmed in being in God's true organization on earth (like all cults claim). They are strongly encouraged to have friends and acquaintances that are only JW’s, thereby keeping outside examination to a minimum. They are told to shun those who leave their group, that way, there is no way to see why someone has left and no way to find out that they are in error from those who have found the truth in Christ. They are conditioned to shy away from any real biblically knowledgeable person. An example of this is frequently found on the Internet. I was once banned from a Jehovah's Witness chat room after I not only answered their objections to the Trinity and deity of Christ, but challenged them in return. Subsequently, my name was passed around to all other Jehovah's Witness rooms where I was banned from them as well. This is a frequent occurrence on the Internet where the Jehovah's Witnesses are alive and well. It is obvious that critical examination of their doctrines is not encouraged by the Watchtower Organization.

The Jehovah's Witnesses consider themselves to be Christians because they believe they are serving the true and living God. Like many cults, they think they are the only true church on earth. Yet, they deny the Trinity, the deity of Christ, the personhood of the Holy Spirit, Jesus' physical resurrection, and salvation by grace through faith.

The Jehovah's Witnesses are discouraged from looking into Jehovah's Witness history or old Watchtower literature which is replete with contradictions, altered doctrines, and false prophecies. Instead, they are indoctrinated repeatedly against basic Christian doctrines (Trinity, deity of Christ, etc) and into the notion that they alone are the true servants of God and that all others are either in "Christendom" or simply unbelievers.

Primarily, the Jehovah's Witness organization is a mind control organization that uses its people to pass out literature and send in "donations" to the headquarters in Brooklyn, New York.

The Watchtower organization of the Jehovah's Witnesses is a non-Christian organization that uses its people to promulgate false doctrines, and collects "contributions" for distribution of a multitudinous amount of literature, and expand its grip into the lives of its members and their families.
    It is a non-Christian cult.

Some background -

Jehovah's Witnesses, also known as the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society (with headquarters in Brooklyn, New York), was officially founded in 1884 [as the Zion's Watch Tower and Tract Society (originally the Zion's Watch Tower in 1879), officially adopting the name of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1931], by Charles Taze Russell (1852-1916). In 1870, Russell was exposed to the teachings of William Miller, one of the founders of the Second Adventist Movement and acquired an interest in end time prophecies. Russell originally denied the doctrine of Hell, and would go on to reject nearly every other Christian doctrine, as well as add many physically and spiritually dangerous doctrines of his own making. Many of these unique and bizarre teachings were to be found in his six volume series titled, Studies in the Scriptures.

JW leadership claims its victims by asserting itself to be the sole Christian religion and authority on the earth today, as well as God's mouthpiece or prophet. The Watchtower further disrupts families through its harsh and unbiblical interpretation of "disfellowshipping" and the practice of "shunning." Family members who are former JWs are labeled by Watchtower adherents as "apostates" and prevented from even social contact. Disfellowshipped or disassociated children, parents, and grandparents are kept from any type of communication with active members of the organization. Divorces are common within the sect when one member becomes disillusioned with Watchtower teaching and mind-control.

Not only has the name of this cult been changed time and again, but they also change their doctrines regularly -- between 1917 and 1928, they changed their doctrines 148 times! (Prior to 1931, Jehovah's Witnesses had also gone by the names of Millennial Dawn, People's Pulpit Association, The Brooklyn Tabernacle, and the International Bible Students Association.) Russell died in 1916 and was replaced by the second president, Joseph F. Rutherford. "A process of replacing Russell's writings with Rutherford's began in 1921 with the publication of Rutherford's Harp of God. Between 1921 and 1941, Rutherford was to write twenty books and numerous pamphlets, which would slowly revise the doctrine and structure left him by Russell" (Encyclopedia of American Religions, G. Melton, Vol. 1, p. 485). One of Rutherford's books that caused a great amount of controversy was the seventh volume of the Studies in the Scriptures.

Russell adopted many of his doctrines from the Seventh-Day Adventists, but the JWs began to emphasize door-to-door evangelism and literature distribution after Russell's death and subsequent leadership assumption by Joseph Franklin Rutherford. The JWs have published over ten billion pieces of literature since 1928. Its main periodicals are The Watchtower magazine (circulation of over 20 million in more than 130 languages) and Awake! (about 16 million copies in more than 80 languages), both published semi-monthly.

Historically, the JWs are best known for their practices of refusing: (1) to serve in the military; (2) to salute the flag; (3) to celebrate Christmas, birthdays, or other holidays; and (4) to give or to accept blood transfusions. [Rejecting the medical practices of vaccinations, organ transplants, and blood transfusions, the Watchtower has caused the deaths of many of its members throughout its history. Interestingly, vaccinations and organ transplants have now been acknowledged by the Watchtower as acceptable practices, contradicting their previous doctrinal position.] (Although some of these practices are neither Biblical nor unbiblical in and of themselves, depending upon one's motives and the exact nature of the practice, the reasons the JWs give for them often are unbiblical.)

In the early 1920s, JWs zealously distributed on the streets and from door to door a book titled Millions Now Living Will Never Die. It was prophesied, "The year 1925 is a date definitely and clearly marked in the Scriptures, even more clearly than that of 1914 ... we may confidently expect that 1925 will mark the return of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and the faithful prophets of old ... to the condition of human perfection" ("Millions Now Living Will Never Die," The Watchtower, 7/15/24, p. 89). The JWs even built a house in San Diego where the patriarchs were to live and tried to deed it to King David. (The house was quietly sold in 1954.) In the early 1940s, JWs were declaring that Armageddon, only months away, would end World War II and the defeat of the Nazis would usher in God's rule on earth (The Watchtower, 12/41). Their book, Children, suggested that plans to marry and have children be postponed until after Armageddon. It's been a long wait! Not giving up, they later prophesied that God's millennial kingdom would commence in 1975. Again JWs were told not to engage in any plans for this world, including marriage and having children. Many quit their jobs, sold their homes, and dedicated themselves to going door to door. (Source: 3/97, The Berean Call.) All in all, the Watchtower has predicted the end of the world for 1914, 1918, 1925, 1975, and 1989.

The Witnesses are told they will be persecuted when they go door to door teaching their doctrines. They are further told that this is simply the enemy fighting against God’s organization because they are in “the truth.” So, when someone disagrees with them, they are conditioned to reflect on what the Watchtower has told them. They then feel confirmed in being in God’s true organization on earth (like all cults claim). I was once banned from a Jehovah’s Witness chat room after I not only answered their objections to the Trinity and deity of Christ, but challenged them in return. Subsequently, my name was passed around to all other Jehovah’s Witness rooms where I was banned from them as well. This is a frequent occurrence on the Internet where the Jehovah’s Witnesses are alive and well. It is obvious that critical examination of their doctrines is not encouraged by the Watchtower Organization.

The Jehovah’s Witnesses consider themselves to be Christians because they believe they are serving the true and living God. Like many cults, they think they are the only true church on earth. Yet, they deny the Trinity, the deity of Christ, the personhood of the Holy Spirit, Jesus’ physical resurrection, and salvation by grace through faith.

The Jehovah’s Witnesses are discouraged from looking into Jehovah’s Witness history or old Watchtower literature which is replete with contradictions, altered doctrines, and false prophecies. Instead, they are indoctrinated repeatedly against basic Christian doctrines (Trinity, deity of Christ, etc) and into the notion that they alone are the true servants of God and that all others are either in “Christendom” or simply unbelievers.

Primarily, the Jehovah’s Witness organization is a mind control organization that uses its people to pass out literature and send in “donations” to the headquarters in Brooklyn, New York.

The Watchtower organization of the Jehovah’s Witnesses is a non-Christian organization that uses its people to promulgate false doctrines, and collects “contributions” for distribution of a multitudinous amount of literature, and expand its grip into the lives of its members and their families.
It is a non-Christian cult.

Some background -

Jehovah’s Witnesses, also known as the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society (with headquarters in Brooklyn, New York), was officially founded in 1884 [as the Zion's Watch Tower and Tract Society (originally the Zion's Watch Tower in 1879), officially adopting the name of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1931], by Charles Taze Russell (1852-1916).

JW leadership claims its victims by asserting itself to be the sole Christian religion and authority on the earth today, as well as God’s mouthpiece or prophet. The Watchtower further disrupts families through its harsh and unbiblical interpretation of “disfellowshipping” and the practice of “shunning.” Family members who are former JWs are labeled by Watchtower adherents as “apostates” and prevented from even social contact. Disfellowshipped or disassociated children, parents, and grandparents are kept from any type of communication with active members of the organization. Divorces are common within the sect when one member becomes disillusioned with Watchtower teaching and mind-control.

Not only has the name of this cult been changed time and again, but they also change their doctrines regularly — between 1917 and 1928, they changed their doctrines 148 times! (Prior to 1931, Jehovah’s Witnesses had also gone by the names of Millennial Dawn, People’s Pulpit Association, The Brooklyn Tabernacle, and the International Bible Students Association.) Russell died in 1916 and was replaced by the second president, Joseph F. Rutherford. “A process of replacing Russell’s writings with Rutherford’s began in 1921 with the publication of Rutherford’s Harp of God. Between 1921 and 1941, Rutherford was to write twenty books and numerous pamphlets, which would slowly revise the doctrine and structure left him by Russell” (Encyclopedia of American Religions, G. Melton, Vol. 1, p. 485). One of Rutherford’s books that caused a great amount of controversy was the seventh volume of the Studies in the Scriptures.

Russell adopted many of his doctrines from the Seventh-Day Adventists, but the JWs began to emphasize door-to-door evangelism and literature distribution after Russell’s death and subsequent leadership assumption by Joseph Franklin Rutherford.

Interestingly, vaccinations and organ transplants have now been acknowledged by the Watchtower as acceptable practices, contradicting their previous doctrinal position.] (Although some of these practices are neither Biblical nor unbiblical in and of themselves, depending upon one’s motives and the exact nature of the practice, the reasons the JWs give for them often are unbiblical.)

In the early 1920s, JWs zealously distributed on the streets and from door to door a book titled Millions Now Living Will Never Die. It was prophesied, “The year 1925 is a date definitely and clearly marked in the Scriptures, even more clearly than that of 1914 … we may confidently expect that 1925 will mark the return of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and the faithful prophets of old … to the condition of human perfection” (”Millions Now Living Will Never Die,” The Watchtower, 7/15/24, p. 89). The JWs even built a house in San Diego where the patriarchs were to live and tried to deed it to King David. (The house was quietly sold in 1954.) In the early 1940s, JWs were declaring that Armageddon, only months away, would end World War II and the defeat of the Nazis would usher in God’s rule on earth (The Watchtower, 12/41). Their book, Children, suggested that plans to marry and have children be postponed until after Armageddon. It’s been a long wait! Not giving up, they later prophesied that God’s millennial kingdom would commence in 1975.

Irene, Thank you for writing. That must have been hard and hurtful for you to go through, and I'm sorry you had to go through that.

Please try and remember that our God is an awesome God and I have seen it over and over and over again, how he can take what we think is our last hope and turn it into good Irene.

As you study and learn the truth and begin to deprogram your mind, God will begin to start a fire in you, where you can now be a witness to the Witnesses.

You see, many witnesses feel as you do, but are afraid to say anything or learn or question what the Watchtower really teaches, but deep in their hearts, they know something is not right, but they hang on because they feel damned, never to wake up.

The question is... What do you do with the gilt you now feel for leading your son into the JW? Am I right?

You give it to the Lord and let him fight the battle. I know the word "Lord" may send shivers up your spin. It's not a word you're use to, but as you learn, you will grow. You don't need me or this web site and anyone else because it's all revealed in the Bible.

Get yourself a New Kings James Version and just read. If you don't have one or need one, send me your info on our contact page and I will send you one.

Read and pray. Trust me, you don't need anyone but God. Trust in Him and Him alone and he will direct your path.

I'm actually so excited for you because I know how God will use those who just have faith in him to change the lives of their family, friends and the world.

God Bless you Irene,
Pedward
