im new to all this and have not read the bible (the big thick one) yet but i really cant tell wat your trying to prove. jehovah wants us to be with him and his son in a paridise world but you got to tell people the truth about everything.

I m ok with the jw.But i don’t understand why they have to keep pounding about blood transfusions and Birhdays.I would like to think for myself and what God puts in my heart not Man.Who are they to tell me what to believe if I read the scriptures different than they do.I also feel as though they judge people too much.IThey make u feel guilty to even associate with your family and friends.

Hi all,

I have studied with a few different organisations, so I get the brainwashing etc. But I did not find this with Jehovah’s Witnesses at all, much to many peoples discust here. I am also able to openly ask questions, and they will find the answers for me as soon as they can if they don’t have it available on the spot.

Also, the dates above as ‘the end of the world’ etc, is untrue. Like a previous poster stated - these were the dates of ‘end of unsure times’. A bit dissappointing that poking a stick at a certain religion means that words have to be minipulated to get people to read about it.

Hello everyone, well I would just like to say that I am currently studying with Jehovahs Witnesses, and the people I have studied with are normal people like myself. I’m a full time mum of four.

I have attended a few churches in the past, New Life, Muslim, Catholic, and I don’t want to pick at any of them, I just couldn’t understand most of them.

I find peace reading the Watch Tower magazines, because it makes you think for yourself, and understand why we are going through all these troubled times. I do research as well with my Muslim girlfriend and compare our beliefs.I find that Jehovahs Witnesses are trying to teach what Jesus taught, about not being part of this world, seasons, holidays, birthdays, christmas, halloween, as I believe they are a part of this world. I don’t want to argue with anyone, just wanted to say that without the Jehovahs Witnesses my life would be a mess, and as I am putting what I learn from the Bible to practice it helps me as a Mother and Wife to do what is right, in Gods eyes. I know there is a God, and every religion believes that he is a loving God. Would a loving God send me and my children to burn forever and ever because I’m trying to study and apply what I believe is the right path?

Jehovah’s Witnesses stopped celebrating holidays because it took too much money and time away from the society. Do you really think it would be such a power house and as global as it is if everyone was not giving all the money they could to them. NO! They want all your money and all your time. If you dont give it you are looked down upon. They keep records of everything you give and all the time you spend at meetings and in the field service. The society in New York Has records of everyone also. They are a controlling CULT!

Hey everyone.
I have read most of the comments here and I think that you guys should think about what you are saying, I dont think that there is a religion better than any other if all of them are teaching you that the other ones are wrong, and you are the proof of what Im saying. I have been to catholic churches, Christian churches, and now I am having bible studies with jehovahs witnesses. which i think is funny that JW are commenting here since this religion prohibits them to do so, and they are saying they are true JW. I make this clear i am not a JW, even tho i dearly enjoy their company since they really are nice people to talk to.
For what i have seen, all of the religions say they are the right ones, and most of the people here think they know that theirs is the right one, but most of you grew in that religion and have never really concidered believing in other thing and every time you actually go to another church you go closed minded, not willing to give up on your beliefs. Well, Im not saying thats wrong, its up to everybody to do what they believe is right.
My problem with this whole thing is that we dont have the power nor the right to judge, since all religions teach that thats Gods job, so you should just stop attacking each other.
About the original post, its up to all of us to do what we think is right, if JW dont celebrate it its their right to not celebrate it, and if christians want to celebrate it then its their right to celebrate it. whoever is going to “hell” for their actions is not up to any of us to choose.

As a recently disfellowshipped witness, I was hoping to find progressive people who understand the consequences of their decisions and comprehend fully the good and bad of the organisation they left. Instead I cannot believe the whingeing of people who end up finding solace with groups of spiritual dunces and social low lifes. If you are no longer with witnesses please at least form a belief system that acknowledges simple truths and has some spine. I hate the lying ranters who use the same old corrupt stereoptypes I dismissed long ago with the reasoning of a child which only witnesses are kind enough to put with. Ex-witnesses should be sharper, have far more medical, scriptural, scientific, social knowledge and abilities than to give time and credence to these users and abusers.

Hi There, this subject has always baffled me, when I have talked to witnesses about the great crowd it always comes back to the same question that they can’t seem to answer. The witnesses claim that any kind of psychic ability or message is ‘Pagen’or the devil at work, so how do these chosen people find out that they are the ones and is there some kind of exception to the rule when the great crowd is in question ?

My family celebrates the birth of Christ every December 25th. Doesn’t matter if this is his actual birthday or not, it is a day that is set aside to honour Jesus. Does it really matter? Isn’t it more important that we honour and celebrate his birth? My husband isn’t religious at all and yet, even he attends Mass. Christmas is about love, prayer, family and celebration. It is also the perfect opportunity to start explaining God to young children. To expose them to the fact that Christmas isn’t all about Santa and presents. It is also about giving of yourself. Whether it be to invite a lonely friend or neighbour to dinner or to introduce the need to give to charity. Every Christmas, we shop for a family in need, give toys to toy drives, etc… We give to charity throughout the year, but especially at Christmas. Now, my four year old will tell me that we need to give her old clothes to charity.

This has got to be one of the dumbest forums I have seen in awhile. It’s funny how people form opinions and negative feelings about something they really don’t know anything about or don’t understand completely. The creator of this forum obviously had an alter motive because he/she does not even know what he/she is talking about.
