What? No comments?

By Pedward

I am having a problem with the fact that we have had NO comments since posting “The Great Crowd“. Before, we got hate mail, you will die in Armageddon mail, but it as been like the life was pulled out of this blog since “The Great Crowd”. Wow, I actually think that we have hit on a subject that the Watchtower cannot answer. And lets face it, if the Watchtower can’t answer it, then neither can the Jehovah’s Witnesses. We had 22 comments on the ex-witnesses, but can’t get a comment on “The Great Crowd“? Interesting.

I don’t really think they can answer this. It is pretty clear what it is saying.

  2. michelle says:

do u want hate comments or something? i would leave u a HATE comment but im better then that, and im not bring myslef down to your level. by the way do u have a religion? if so what makes it right? if not explain your reasoning.

i have another question, why did u make this site? everone has there own belief so just leave them alone. i have nothing more to say to you.

Michelle, “from the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks”. Please don’t try and wash the outside of the cup without washing the inside. Jesus said, if you hate your brother, you have committed murder in your heart, so the fact that you didn’t “leave” the hate mail, doesn’t mean it wasn’t sent or seen. If you have a question, we will be happy to answer it for you.

I have a question…how are you going to answer questions about Jehovah’s Witnesses if you aren’t one? Do you really know? Or is it just your own research and opinion?

  5. Pedward says:

Hi Ladybug, thank you for your question, it’s a good one! Let me ask you this, how does a Jehovah’s Witness answer a question on other religions if they aren’t of that denomination? Do they really know? Is it their own research?

Is it their own opinion or the opinion of the Watchtower that gave it to them? Almost 100% of the time, their opinion was given to them by the Watchtower and has nothing to do with fact based on Biblical principles or true Biblical interpretations.

Therefore, the fact that I am not a Jehovah’s Witness does not mean I have no basis for my interpretation or answer to the Bible. God gave us all the ability to rightly discern his word. You may not understand every thing it says, but there are certain things it does say that are obvious. What are you having trouble with?

    Hello to ladybug and Michelle!

Your comment with the word hate capitalized clearly speaks for itself. There is no hatred pouring out here, nor will it be tolerated. Praise God for the response he supplied pedward with. God has shown us clearly by His Word what he says about hate. Amen.

I believe hate comes from fear which is rooted when there is also insufficient knowledge of truth. Our purpose here is to be crystal clear on what Gods Word says. We are called to be bold in His truth, and often times the boldness of truth is very difficult for many to hear. It would be extremely difficult to find out that what you believed to be true was a lie. The Watchtower misleads JW’S and blatently twists scripture to fit their theology.

We do not follow a religion. The Bible clearly teaches us what we are to do. It does NOT tell us to follow nor adhere to the teachings of mere man. Religion is man made and the Watchtower is made up of what? I believe the answer is man.
We follow Jesus Christ, our Lord and saviour.

“I am the way, the truth, and the life. Nobody comes to the Father except through me”

To answer your question what makes it right? The answer is Jesus. There is only ONE way to heaven and your eternal salvation is through Him. God’s Word tells us this clearly.

With love to you both. I hope you will seek the truth in His Word.

What I have a problem with most is the trinity. I just can’t believe it. There are so many times in the Bible where it says God is a God of one.

  8. servingHim says:

    Rebel-ladybug,

Can you please be specific and tell me exactly what verse(s) in the bible you are referring to.I am not sure I understand what you mean when you say God is a God of one?

  9. Pedward says:

Ladybug, if we go with what you are saying, (I am assuming that you mean there is one God) you are right! So the question is this. The Watchtower teaches that there is only one “Almighty God” and Jesus is a lesser “god” (small “g”). If the Bible says there is only one true God and all other gods are false then is Jesus a true God or a false god? The Bible calls Satan the “god” of this world, so is he a true god or false god? The Bible says that Jesus is God and Jehovah is God, so they must be the same God in order to be true.
    Examples;

    Jesus is God; Isa 9:6, John 1:1, John 20:28, 2 Pet 1:1, Titus 2:13, Jer 23:6, Heb 1:8, 1 John 5:20.
Jehovah is God; Jer32:18, Isa 43:10, Isa 45:22,
The Holy Spirit is God; Acts 5:3,4

Jesus is the Savior; Acts 2:21, Acts 4:12, Rom 10:9, Jude 25
Jehovah is Savior; Ps 106:21, Hosea 13:4, Isa 45:21 Isa 43:3,11

Jesus is Creator; John 1:3, Col 1:15-17, Heb 1:10
Jehovah is Creator; Job 33:4, Isa 40:28, Gen 1:1
The Holy Spirit is Creator; Job 33:4, 26:13

And there are many more verses that show that they are the same. Let’s be honest, we don’t believe the Trinity because we understand and can comprehend it, we believe it because the Bible reveals it.

Let’s put it another way, if you sat a 3 year old down and tried to explain why an airplane can fly based on the law of aerodynamics, how far would you get? I can assure you he will not understand, but he will believe you because you are his parent and he trusts you. Just like there will come a day when that child understands what you are saying, there will also come a day when we understand what God is telling us. But until then, we trust his Word.

  10. rebel-ladybug says:

~Mark 12:29- The Lord our God is one Lord.

~Mark 12:32-(speaking to Jesus) And the scribe said to him,
Well, Master, you have said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he.

~John 8:42- Jesus said to them, if God were your Father, you would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

~Deuteronomy 6:4- Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord

~Malachi 2:10- Have we not all one Father: Did not one God create us?

  11. Pedward says:

Very good Ladybug! You have just proven my point. There is only one God! Interesting that you used Malachi 2:10, lets look at that. Humm, the Watchtower teaches you that Jehovah created Jesus and Jesus created all “other” things. How can we have one Father (Jehovah) and another God create us? Notice that God here is capitialized meaning Jehovah. I thought Jesus created us?

  12. rebel-ladybug says:

God created all things through Jesus

  13. Pedward says:

    Please show me where in the Bible it says that. If you are going to say John 1:1, the NWT has been changed. The same word for God which is;
    [G2316 - Strongs number
    θεός - Greek Word
    theos - Greek to english
    theh'-os
Of uncertain affinity; a deity, especially (with G3588) the supreme Divinity; figuratively a magistrate; by Hebraism very: - X exceeding, God, god [-ly, -ward].]
Is the same greek word used in the “orginal greek” for “God” which is used three times in the first verse.

Now go to Colossians 1:16. You see where the word “other” has these [ ] brackets around it? That means that the word was added. To prove my point, go to your Kingdom Interlinar Translations and check it out. Do you see the word “other” on the left hand side of the page where it is suppose to translate “word for word” the greek? No you don’t! Why? Because it isn’t in the original greek! What has the Watchtower done by adding the word “other” there? They did not had a word to help in the understanding of todays language, they added a word that CHANGED the meaning of the verse! And now they point to this verse and say “see here, Jesus created all “other” things”. That is a lie and you should see that now.

  14. rebel-ladybug says:

Look, I’m not trying to prove anyone wrong here, I’m just trying to find what the truth is. I want to know God. I care enough about where I am going to spend eternity that I want to examine EVERYTHING closely. If Jesus is God I don’t want to dishonor him by saying he isn’t. But if he isn’t God, I don’t want to dishonor God by saying he is. I’m not here to prove any points.

  15. Pedward says:

I know you are Ladybug. These post are just like emails are at times, they just don’t come across the same way it would if you were speaking. I just sent you an email.

  16. Reasoning says:

The answer is indicated by the fact that after mention of the definite number 144,000, Revelation 7:9 refers to “a great crowd, which no man was able to number.” If the number 144,000 were not literal it would lack meaning as a contrast to the “great crowd.” Viewing the number as literal agrees with Jesus statement at Matthew 22:14 regarding the kingdom of the heavens: “There are many invited, but few chosen.”

The “great crowd in heaven” referred to at Revelation 19:1,6 is not the same as the “great crowd” of Revelation 7:9.

  17. Pedward says:

Reasoning? I’m really sorry, but that doesn’t even make sense. Who said the 144,000 was not a literal number? My goodness, the question is about the great crowd which the Watchtower teaches the Jehovah’s Witnesses that they will be on earth! The 144,000 is not in question here.
