A Question for the Jehovah’s Witnesses

EMail This Post

We receive a lot of emails and comments from Jehovah’s Witnesses. Many of them want to tell us how sinful we are for having this website and that we are also liars. However, when asked to explain which article or post had a lie in it, we get no response. It’s written down, so it’s pretty easy to prove.

So I thought about it and I have a question of my own for the Jehovah’s Witnesses.

The Watchtower Society (”Gods Organization”) predicted the end of the world would come in 1914, 1915, 1918, 1921, 1925, 1932, 1941 and 1975. They lied.

Question: Who is the father of the lie?

I am not a Jehovah’s Witness, but I would like to respond to this question. The bible says that the father of lies is satan. He is a deciever, and very good at it. That’s why its so sad about the Jehovah’s Witnesses, and any other cult, such as mormons, for instance. They both believe that they are the only true religion. The devil has decieved these people immensely. Just the other day, I recieved a piece of literature on my doorstep from the Jehovah’s Witnesses. I read through it. The things that were written in there really surprised me. It surprised me that people can go around preaching this stuff, but claim to live their lives by the bible. How can anyone blatantly ignore the fact that this bible that they are getting all of their beliefs from, is totally false. It mentioned something about, not living by the commands of men, but by the word of God. Yet, nothing that the Watchtower Society stands for is compatible with the word of God. They completely contradicted themselves in this literature. The thing that really got me was that they only mentioned Jesus Christ once in the whole pamphlet. And they referred to Him as “a highly respected religious figure.” If they really preach that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation, then, why not mention that? How can you refer to Him as only a highly respected religious figure, instead of our Lord and Saviour? It also said that most religions preach that the human spirit is immortal. It went on to attempt to refute that fact. I don’t have the exact bible verse that they referred to, but it said that the bible says that as our body dies, so will our soul. Once again, picking and choosing scripture, and using it out of context for their own agenda. Our souls will die in the sense that it will be sent to Hell, and be seperated from God for all of eternity if we do not accept Jesus Christ. It then explained that the bible says the living are aware of everything, and the dead are aware of nothing. Once again, taken out of context. The dead are not aware of anything on earth. It is no concern to them in Heaven. It also said that we will be resurrected one day to meet the Lord, which is very much true. But instead of mentioning that our bodies will be reunited with our souls, they pose the question, “if that is true, then why would it be necessary for our souls to live on?” I was amazed that people that claim to read the bible, could believe such things. And it made me scared to think that there are people out there who are lost, and searching for God, and that they might actually believe these things. This–sadly–is one of the ways that the devil is accomplishing his goal of pulling people away from the truth. I just wish that people would realize this, and quit dodging the truth with all of the nonsense that the watchtower feeds them. Instead, listen, and do some research into the true bible. The bible that has been around since the time of Jesus instead of this poorly translated bible that is manipulated to fit the watchtowers agenda. I feel for the man that founded this “religion”. I’m sure that he truly believed what he preached. But the devil seriously led him astray, and now he is surely paying for it. I don’t mean that to sound harsh or judgemental. I’m merely stating the truth, and urging anyone who believes this ever-changing doctrine to look at the NEVER-changing word of God. It is the only truth, regardless of what denomination you belong to. But just realize that this organization that you belong to is not even a denomination, it is a cult. If you truly want to live in peace and know God 100%, then you must know Jesus Christ %100.

Satan is certainly the father of lies. Having failed to be ‘like the Most High’, Satan then proceded to make the Most High like himself in the minds of men. This means that many humans use the name of Christ but describe Satan. The Watchtower changes the identitity of God manifest in the flesh to an angel manifest in the flesh. That is, the archangel Michael. Mormons do the same but without identifying an archangel. In both cases the effect is the same. Men call upon Satan using the name of Christ. He cannot be like the Most High, but he can certainly fool us into calling him by the name of the Most High, Jesus Christ.

  4. jesuslvr Says:

I’ve never really thought of it in that way, but you brought up the archangel Michael thing. How did the Jehovah’s Witnesses ever come up with that idea? Really, what is their basis for this belief? I would really like to know. I KNOW it doesn’t say THAT in the bible. Anyway, if anyone could respond and provide an answer as to where that doctrine originated, I would appreciate it. Thank you, and God bless!

By the way… Still no responses from any Jehovah’s Witnesses. Wonder why?

I remember a JW telling me when I asked them a question about how Micheal was Jesus that in the Bible(I can’t remember what verse) it says that Micheal was the commander of the army of angels and then later it said that Jesus was the commander of the army of angels. Since it says THE and not A they say that the two are actually the same person called by different names. Since A refers to more than one and THE refers to one.

  7. rebel-ladybug Says:

I’m not saying that’s what I believe though. In Hebrews 1:5 it says, even in the NWT, “to which of the angels did God ever say,’You are my Son; today I have become your Father’?

  8. ninja Says:

another interesting point …the witnesses use 1 thess 4:16 which says…. 16 because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice and with God’s trumpet, and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first… the witnesses say that the lord who descends is Jesus…but the footnote in the reference bible says the lord is Jehovah…go check witnesses

  9. ninja Says:

and p.s I am a witness who is on his way out after waking up to their lies…A couple of months ago I would have backed them to the hilt…

  10. Shon Says:

Ninja, I’m so glad that you have opened your eyes. My sister-in-law is a witness and she is so into that religion to the point where she says that our church is a cult. I’m C.O.G.I.C. Church of God in Christ. She has even taught her kids against my mom. The Angels are rejoicing in Heaven. I’m so happy that you see the Truth. Jesus is real and he is our savior who died for us. I just get overjoyed thinking about my Jesus.

    Praise God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Imagine facing the fact that everything you’ve been tought is a lie. Thats the only people that you are alowed to associate with won’t be your friend anymore because you have relized you were raised in a cult. Thats why you haven’t gotten any responses. It’s alot harder then you might think, but once the smoke clears the truth is the biggest reward.

My contention, too, is that the Witnesses are wrong. I’m 19 and going through hell because I told my dad (a witness for over 20 years) that I no longer wished to be one after being raised in “the truth”. There are so many wholes in their logic its ridiculous. Pray for me, fellow bloggers.

I prayed for everyone trying to come out of a false religion. :) The reason I’m here is I’ve been looking at alot of false religions. A few months ago I looked up Scientology because of that hoopla about Tom Cruise being shunned. I was shocked out of my gourd what they believe. I looked up Mormonism because of Mitt Romney. I looked up Jehovahs witness because the manager of the apartment building I’m in, always has their propaganda on the table in the laundry room. About once a week when I do laundry, I’d put some tracts on the table. Things that would be difficult to deny like, Jesus- the word made flesh, ect. They would disappear and only her pamplets would be there, and I would put a few more back on the table. This would go on for a few days in a row, someone removing mine. Then finally, everything would disappear for a few days, then back again would be her propaganda. lol. We’ve done this for about a year. When she removes it all, it makes me think she thinks I’ll forget! lol. I really didn’t know much about this false religion, didn’t know what their main errors were until just tonight. I saw that great video on youtube and almost fell off my chair. I said, oh yeah! This is a false religion through and through. And they always have their false prophets, and their OWN version of the Bible, or spiritual book so to speak. Not a single perversion of the Word of God will go unpunished. The moonies or Unification church is another one I looked up. Did you know that the Washington Times is owned by a false god? Sun Myung Moon, a self proclaimed messiah. I really wish there was a blog like this for every false religion. It would really be a great service to revealing truth, with extensive information and the chance for dialogue, potentially adding to the information, and also making it easy to engage people in conversations about deception.
